Finding Home at Larkview: Rossan’s Family Story

Almost a decade ago, Rossan and her family migrated from the Philippines to Australia, beginning a new chapter in Port Lincoln where they purchased their first home.

Six years ago, work brought the family to Mount Barker — and it quickly became a place they were proud to call home.

“We really enjoy the community and the open space we have here,” Rossan says. “We retained our house in Port Lincoln and have been renting, but we felt it was time to sell and really put our roots down here by buying a home in Mount Barker.”

When searching for the right place to build, staying close to the area they already loved was important. Larkview stood out for its convenience, lifestyle and connection to the local community.

“We already live quite close to Larkview and really like how close it is to Woolworths and shopping in general. We wanted to stay in the area because everything is nearby — you can even walk.”

The family has selected Simonds as their builder and is now preparing to build a four-bedroom home designed for family life and the future ahead.

“Our three daughters are really excited. They already have signs for their rooms with their names on them and keep asking when the house will start being built.”

For Rossan, Mount Barker offers the perfect balance — close to everything they need, while still feeling connected to nature and open space.

“We love Mount Barker and how close we are to town, beaches and nature,” she says. “Everything you could possibly need is here, without the busyness and traffic of the city.”
